Bi-State Regional Commission implemented a user widget to increase accessibility for motor impaired, color blindness, blindness, low vision, dyslexia and other sensory impairments. It is also accessible for a variety of languages. The blue button on the right-hand side of the page is the point of access. This addition will enhance the website user experience for a great number of visitors to the Bi-State Regional Commission website, and to the important information that we share about our Region.

A draft Traffic Safety Action Plan (TSAP) will be posted for review and comment on April 17, 2025.
Public Involvement
Input from the public and representatives of the communities in the study area – Quad Cities, Kewanee and Muscatine - are needed to finalize the TSAP. A Virtual Public Meeting will be held Thursday, April 30, 2025 5:00-6:30 p.m. The study team will be in attendance and ready to answer questions and address public comments on the plan. The Quad Cities Transportation Policy Committee awarded $3,067,906 of Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (TASA) funds in the Quad Cities. These projects will be implemented in the next five years. Bi-State Regional Commission delegates the transportation programming authority to the Transportation Policy Committee to solicit applications and award funds in the Illinois-Iowa Quad Cities.

Bi-State Regional Commission is soliciting proposals for a transportation planning study to evaluate potential safety, access, and mobility improvements on the Andalusia Road – Indian Bluff Road corridor located in Rock Island County, Illinois and part of the Quad Cities, Iowa-Illinois Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The contract will be held by Bi-State Regional Commission in cooperation with Rock Island County, the Village of Milan, and the Cities of Moline and Rock Island. A public hearing will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Scott County Secondary Roads Building, 950 Blackhawk Trail Rd, Eldridge, IA. Its purpose is to receive comments on the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan for Iowa Region 9 (LRTP) and the Transportation Improvement Program Iowa Region 9 FFY2027-2030 (TIP), which includes Muscatine County and rural Scott County.
